Portfolio Example & Materials Statement
Amy Tessaro

I am an artist who specializes in stained glass and has innovated the use of Northwest Coast style form line into my work. Concepts get drawn on paper, First Nation form line is added, then the pattern is made into one to work with stained glass. Materials used include: Hand rolled Bullseye stained glass, Kokomo stained glass, glass bevels, copper foil, 60/40 lead/tin solder, zinc for the final frame. For added form line detail, I sand blast the stained glass. Each step: pattern drawing, glass cutting, copper foiling, soldering and the sand basting is done by my hands.
