Although fluent in many beading techniques, my work focuses primarily on paaxge or diagonal bead weaving, a style traditional to the Ho-Chunk people. This process is one in which multiple waxed strings are used to pick up individual glass seedbeads, then the maker interweaves the threads with the beads to create a vertical weaving. I also create larger flatstitched works, primarily in the form of beaded handbags.
