For my pieces I incorporate leather and antler work. For my leather work I use vegetable tanned leather which is a process that allows carving into leather and is achieved using vegetation. I use a variety of hand tools made of metal and bone to carve, tool, and shape the leather. All pieces are hand-sewn and dyed using water and oil based dyes and natural materials (i.e.hickory nuts). For my antler work I use sheds from moose, elk, and whitetail deer. Antlers are carved using hand and rotary tools and dyed with water based dyes and natural materials (i.e. hickory nuts).
