Art for me is a solitary practice that lacks selfishness. By that I mean I make art alone but it is ultimately for the world. The statement I would like to make with my art is life is beautiful and the time we have is precious so take care of yourself and others. Of course my art also reflects my heritage as a Shoshone-bannock and Anishinabe man. A contemporary and indigenous view of the world as I see it, not making judgment on right or wrong but simply a reflection of my experience, expectations, and dreams. As an artist I want my art to represent that single moment in time that forever changes the outcome; the second where one moment becomes eternity. Ultimately, If my art can effect someone’s life positively for even one second or even inspire a single thought the art has served its purpose. In this view art is eternal and I hope to make positive change with my work.
