Designing fabrics & embroidery with Cherokee & other native symbols, in skirts & dresses of my own design enables me to connect with my Native roots & find meaningful connections with other Native peoples. I use quality satin & metallic, new & vintage ribbons, shell buttons, combined with my appliqué & embroidery: hand & machine own designs with bone, seed and tribal beading on belts, detachable collars, & dentalium shell & turkey feather detail.
