As a Young Cheyenne Woman Artist and Descendant of Cheyenne Ledger Artist's from the 1860's and 1870's , I create Contemporary Ledger Art. I utilize Drawing Techniques on Antique Documents such as Checks, Receipts, Maps, and Ledger Paper. I freehand my drawings in with Micron Artist Pens and color the art in with Prismacolor Colored Pencils.Growing up in NW Oklahoma, I was always in the outdoors with my family and see Bison, Scissortails, Hawks and other wildlife on family and tribal lands. These I include in my artwork to show people that I am a Cheyenne Woman, a Person of The Plains.I am Happy to be a Contemporary Artist making Ledger Artwork, a Genre that started with my Poeple in the 1830s.
