I use a variety of different stones to make my sculptures. Such as different marbles, calcites, and alabasters. The tools that are used can vary from large to small. For the blocking-out process of taking out the large pieces of stone. Different size angle grinders, along with air hammers are used for the majority of this process. The smaller angel grinders, die grinders, and Dremel's are used in the shaping and detailing section of carving. The finishing section is the last section where I take my pieces to a high polish. I sand my sculptures up to 800 grit sandpaper. Then use oil to bring out the color and protect the stone. Lastly buff the piece to a beautiful shine.
