Jeff Gloyd is an Urban Mixed Northern Arapaho - German- English Artist, born in 1968 in Colorado.He is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho tribe of the Wind River range in Wyoming. He artwork is predominantly skull painting with acrylics, but he works with other mediums like beading , wood working, metal sculpting and welding; traditional First Nation’s crafts. Jeff considers himself self-taught. His versatility is unique as he works with several different media, combining old techniques and methods with new ideas and creative thought, painting traditional and contemporary styles.Jeff grew up watching his Grandmother Wallowing Bull create indigenous regalia alongside his mother’s and sister’s bead work. Being an avid outdoorsman and finding winter kill skulls is where he developed a passion for painting and beading, making both traditional and contemporary designs.
