I am a 3rd generation traditional beadwork and quillwork artist. I design everything myself based on my years of community-based research and intention. I work with traditional materials and contemporary materials to create contemporary explorations of traditional adornment. This includes smoked brain tanned buckskin, micro seed beads, silk ribbons and fabrics, sinew, wool, brass findings, and various micro findings. My work implores appliqu� stitch, lane stitch, rope stitch, wrap stitch, among other techniques. Everything about my practice is about trusting the traditions, materials, and intention.
