I use a mixture of the traditional techniques that Santa Clara potters are known for clay and volcanic ash blended and hand coiled. Firing with both open air wood and modern kilns utilizing organic elements such as horse hair and cow maneare for rich colors and smoke effects. My style is well known for combining contemporary painted images and scraffito techniques.
