The material I use to create my artwork that makes it come alive is cottonwood, normally called driftwood. Using a Dremel tool and knife to help shape the katschina doll forms into a moving piece, along with the help of sandpaper that smooths out the rough edges. Then I go into the wood with a wood burner for detailing, using stain to allow that natural wood grain to come through. Finishing my masterpiece with acrylic paint along with matte finish spray.
