A common technique that I use in most of my work is bead weaving on a loom. I also use stitching techniques such as square stitch and brick stitch. The materials I use in my work are glass Delica beads, waxed nylon thread, and durable beading thread that is like fishing line to give my pieces added strength and durability. I use materials found in nature such as dentalium shells, porcupine quills, elk antler, real bone beads, precious stone beads from North America, horse hair, and leather to attach my work to. I also handcraft sterling silver findings to attach to my earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. I use methods such as hand stitching and sewing machine stitching when I attach my beadwork to leather. The original patterns I create blend geometric shapes with plants and animal designs. The colors I use in my work are earthy browns and oranges with pops of shades of blues and turquoise.
