My paintings are expressionist landscapes of the Rio Grande Pueblo world. I use a direct palette knife paint application to capture motion, energy, anima, spirit, and power. The Tewa word for this is Poeh-ha or breath of life. I intend to create the feeling I get when I stand on a petroglyph Mesa in the Galisteo basin and the rain clouds come in and wash over my face.
