Portfolio Example & Artist Statement

My painting style combines mixed media acrylics with occasional metal leafing, creating a unique and dynamic aesthetic. I build depth and texture through multiple layers, using palette knives and various tools to sculpt and shape the surface. Only then do I begin to add paint. This process enhances the vibrancy of each piece, allowing light to interact with the textures and giving the work a glowing effect that feels as if it emanates from within. The combination of tactile surfaces and metallic elements creates an engaging visual experience, with layers that invite closer inspection and evoke a sense of movement and energy.
