As an abstract expressionist artist with a focus on matrilineal storytelling, I create mixed media pieces using acrylic and watercolor paints, occasionally supplementing them with my own paints made from traditional materials such as coal, rock, and plants. Through blending techniques like sewing, painting, weaving, and beading, I produce intentional, deeply emotional, and evocative artwork. These methods add texture, depth, and cultural significance to my pieces, allowing me to convey personal and cultural narratives in a visually compelling and conceptually rich manner.
