I mainly work with sterling silver, though I like adding touches of yellow gold for warmth and contrast. My collection is all about blending different aspects of my heritage into designs that feel both personal and timeless. One of the ways I do this is by merging formline art into filgaree, which brings together delicate, lace-like patterns with bold, structured shapes inspired by cultural storytelling.Texture is something I’m really passionate about. I draw a lot of inspiration from cedar basket weaving and translate that into my jewelry using texturizing techniques by hammering. I’m able to create a stars and cedar texture that adds depth and movement to the pieces. This textured surface brings a tactile element that reminds me of woven patterns and natural elements. My process is very hands-on. I hand-forge and shape metal to create custom components, often forming intricate caps that become key elements in my designs.
