As a Metalsmith, my artwork has evolved as technology has evolved. Building upon the traditional skillsets of my late mentors, silversmiths Greg Lewis and Charlie Bird, I explore techniques and processes reserved for industrial use, including computer-aided design and cutting-edge manufacturing equipment. It has been a lifelong exploration into stainless steel, titanium, and zirconium as my materials of choice. I find inspiration along my life path and challenge myself to transform utilitarian materials into objects of adornment, sculptures, and architectural installations. I strive for a minimal design aesthetic that enhances the unique properties of my materials. This allows the beauty of the metals to come forward and is enhanced by the design itself.
