Dedicated the art of sewing and design, my work is grounded in both historic and contemporary practice of my community in Labrador. For the pieces I create and lean towards the use of natural fur (fox, rabbit, wolf/coyote, beaver, sheared beaver, otter, caribou) and commander, melton wool, quilted lining, kasha lining, cotton, pile lining, bonded sherpa, duffle wool and cotton duck. I use 100% leather (land, Italian, cow, bison deer, alaskan split cow hide and moose hide) on all my creations. I sew with an industrial sewing machine with a tex #70 bonded nylon thread most of the larger work, but I hand stitch the furs with sinew. I use beading thread and different size glass and labradorite beads for detailing.
