Shane Hendren

Description of Material and TechniqueAs a master metalsmith I am proficient in the use of noble metals including but not limited to nonferrous metals such as gold, silver, and copper. I also have utilized ferrous metals such as carbon steel and stainless steel in my work. In addition, I am also a lapidary, cutting my own stones. I incorporate precious and non-precious stones in my work. I have extensive experience and proficiency in the following blacksmithing techniques, tufa casting, lost wax casting, sand casting, ingot casting, fabrication, soldering, welding, brazing, hollow forming, repoussé and chasing, forming, and shaping, reticulation, marriage of metals, mokume gane, plating, anodizing, overlay, engraving, polishing and finishing, patinas, and forging to name a few. I am also a lapidary and stone setter. I have experience with 3D printing and scanning.
