Vivian Descheny, a traditional Diné weaver, crafts Navajo rugs on a standing loom using natural sheep wool, churro wool, and in some instances contemporary yarn material. Using hand carded wool, Vivian dyes her own material to achieve an earth tone pallet. Vivian weaves Ganado Red, Two Grey Hills, Burntwater, White Ruins and Chief Blanket styles of rugs.
