My work involves sculptural birchbark contemporary baskets with metals and storytelling in a sculptural annishinabae form. Also using birchbark biting in my work which is birchbark that is hand gathered in Minnesota on my Reservation, after harvesting birchbark I peel birchbark into fine thin layers of birchbark that feel like tissue paper.
